Overview

 

The Senior Software Architect is a technical leader accountable for ensuring the technical designs for software components are fit for purpose, well-documented, and aligned with product roadmap, business goals, and technology strategy. This role serves as a key architectural voice across engineering teams, driving quality, scalability, and innovation within the .NET ecosystem.


Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of large-scale, distributed .NET applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and performant.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices across multiple teams and projects.
  • Drive key decisions around system design, performance optimization, scalability, and security to support enterprise-level demands.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Business Stakeholders to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical audits to uphold standards of quality and long-term maintainability.
  • Mentor and coach senior engineers while continuously evaluating and recommending emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools within the .NET ecosystem.

Role Essentials — What You Bring

  • 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep, hands-on expertise in the .NET ecosystem (.NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET / Web API / C#).
  • Proven track record of architecting and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade distributed applications.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and messaging platforms such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) and CI/CD pipelines with solid DevOps practices.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases, performance tuning, optimization techniques, and security best practices.

What We'd Like to See — Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading cloud adoption, modernization initiatives, and microservices transformation at scale.
  • Deep familiarity with Object-Oriented Design and SOLID principles applied to complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate senior and principal-level engineers in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction at an organizational level.
