Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for contributing to cloud products and system design, working with engineering teams to solve complex problems, lead innovative projects, and evangelize cloud engineering excellence across the organization. This role brings experience in one or more cloud-related engineering fields and actively works to mature cloud engineering practices across the company.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Write code to solve moderately complex problems; contribute to logic, algorithms, and system design in alignment with established standards.
• Work closely with teams from across the organization to solve moderately complex software problems in the cloud.
• Assist in new cloud technology research, proof of concepts (POCs), and innovation efforts across the department.
• Participate in the implementation of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to cloud environments with a focus on quality, security, and automation.
• Contribute to and document best practices regarding application deployment and operational procedures.

Role Essentials

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or a related technical engineering field.
• Demonstrated experience in at least one cloud-related engineering field, with knowledge of cloud-native design principles.
• Experience implementing and working with CI/CD pipelines and related systems, including infrastructure as code deployments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building systems that meet stringent quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team; up to 10% travel time required.

What We'd Like to See (Preferred Skills)

• Experience supporting cloud software that is in production and used by customers.
• Experience working with one or more public cloud providers.
• General knowledge of general-purpose programming languages.
• Sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and a proven track record of continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and the ability to participate in and drive projects to completion independently.
