Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Hybrid  | Hyderabad

About This Role

Hyland is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to contribute to cloud products and system design, working alongside engineering teams to solve complex problems, lead innovative projects, and evangelize cloud engineering excellence across the organization. In this role, you will bring deep experience in one or more cloud-related engineering fields, actively working to mature cloud engineering practices that drive quality, security, and operational efficiency. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

  • Write code to solve complex problems, completing logic, algorithms, and system design in alignment with established standards.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to solve complex software problems in the cloud, identifying and participating in new cloud technology research, proof of concepts (POCs), and innovation efforts.
  • Design and drive the implementation of CI/CD pipelines to cloud environments with a focus on quality, security, and automation.
  • Establish engineering standards, procedures, and best practices related to operational efficiency, security, performance, reliability, quality, and cost optimization.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex production issues, code issues, and customer requests for assistance, promoting and leading team-level initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on the technical abilities of the team.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or a related technical engineering field.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one cloud-related engineering field, with experience building and delivering enterprise applications and supporting cloud software in production.
  • Experience working with one or more public cloud providers and implementing CI/CD pipelines and related systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-native design principles and experience building systems that meet stringent quality, security, and compliance standards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with executive presence, and strong collaboration and critical thinking skills applied across all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code deployments in large-scale, enterprise cloud environments.
  • Sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and a proven track record of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage complex projects to completion independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • General knowledge of one or more general-purpose programming languages, with the ability to apply coding skills across diverse cloud engineering challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members, with the ability to influence and evangelize cloud engineering excellence across the organization.
